Our friendly and reliable staff can help you live safely and independently by providing essential personal support services right in your home or while you’re in the hospital.
Here are some of the very practical and important services we can provide for you:

- Light housekeeping
- Light meal preparation
- Companionship

HOME CARE SERVICES FEES
As a non-profit community organization, North York Seniors Centre (NYSC) is committed to our goal of providing quality services to seniors and adults with disabilities at affordable prices.
At NYSC, we work hard to serve all older adults in the community. Within our available resources and program capacity, every effort will be made to accommodate everyone who wants to participate in our programs and services.
Anyone requiring financial assistance for our programs and services will be interviewed and asked to provide proof of income and expenses. The interview is an in-person assessment of your financial situation with a professional staff member and is completely confidential. Friendly Visiting and Telephone Reassurance Calls
Do you know someone who would like some friendly company or a daily phone call?
Our caring volunteers provide friendly visits and telephone calls to homebound seniors to help them create a social connection and feel less isolated.
During visits, activities may include short walks, reading, discussing current events or playing cards.
Friendly Visiting and Telephone Reassurance Calls are free and available to seniors between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. who reside within our service area.
Weather Alerts
Weather Alert phone calls provide notice of extreme forecasted weather and friendly instruction to seniors. Volunteers offer direction on how to cope with the weather and where safe sites are near by for warming or cooling.
