Connecting Seniors with Friendly Companions
Looking for friendly conversation or regular social connection? Our Friendly Visiting and Telephone Reassurance program connects older adults with caring volunteers who provide meaningful companionship through in-person visits or scheduled phone calls.
Visits and calls are tailored to individual interests and preferences, and may include:
Enjoying a friendly chat
Going for short Walks
Reading together
Playing cards or other simple activities
Discussing current events
Our volunteers are compassionate,reliable, and committed to building genuine connections.

How It Works
For Seniors
Friendly Visiting requires a brief assessment before participation
Telephone Reassurance Calls require no assessment
Available in-person or online,
Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
For Volunteers
Must complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
Provide friendly visits or calls to build meaningful social connections

Eligibility
Activities are flexible based on seniors’ interests and comfort
Encourages socialization, mental stimulation, and emotional well-being
